I had to laugh when I saw the challenge at this round's Shopping Our Stash #516 - "it's not easy being green!" Ain't that the truth! I decided to challenge myself today by sticking to a current stamp set for this one - and somehow the notion of green beer just wouldn't go away, lol. So out came my Brewed For You bundle, and a search for all the green I could find to go with it! I spotted this fun sheet in an old pack of DSP that's visiting right now - Petals & Paisleys! Such pretty stripes! I quick stamped up some toasting brews, and built this sentiment with a quick cut from my old Greetings dies - just right! This DSP is so old, I'm pretty sure that's Certainly Celery, but it still goes great with our stand-by Old Olive! Brewed For You Stamp Set; Petals & Paisleys DSP (retired); Basic White & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Old Olive Inks; Brewed, Delicate Forest & Greetings (retired) Dies; Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems; #SOS516. Good times ahead - we want to see your fun folds this round at Make My Monday #220! I opted for a floating panel trifold for today, and jumped at the chance to show a new preview set, coming March 1 - this time it's the Simply Zinnia suite! I got in a little bit of everything except the embossing folder, lol. I had to really think through how to get my shapes to work for this one, and I finally hit on placing a panel of this Nested Essentials shape behind my zinnias - such a cool effect! It wasn't too tricky to work it all around my sentiment after I made that leap, and then I got to focus on my bright and happy coloring, lol. Here's a picture of the card flattened out, too, so you can see how it comes together! I can't wait to see YOUR fun fold projects this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Simply Zinnia Stamp Set; Flowering Zinnias DSP; Basic White, Melon Mambo & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Petal Pink & Berry Burst Blends Markers; Simply Zinnia, Nested Essentials & Stylish Shapes Dies; Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins; #MMM220. Let's see you show off your pattern paper this round at Make My Monday #218! I have a little bit of my gorgeous Countryside Inn DSP left to play with, so I figured I'd see how much more I could use! I combined it with the wonderful Filled With Happiness set, too - still a few more sentiments I can ink up in that one, too! I tried combining two - the "you're wonderful" shape that goes with the punch, and then I heat-embossed this Thanks over it to double up the fun, lol. I little Night of Navy twine and a few Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems, and I am set! I can't wait to see YOUR patterned paper projects - meet you at the challenge! Filled With Happiness Stamp Set; Countryside Inn DSP; Basic White, Misty Moonlight & Night of Navy CS; Misty Moonlight & Versamark Inks; White EP; Modern Label Punch; Night of Navy Baker's Twine; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #MMM218. Such a cute theme at this round's Shopping Our Stash #513 - "Once upon a time!" I'll have to think of a good fairy tale! As I looked over my stamp shelves, I got to thinking about my Apple Harvest bundle - I sure haven't used that one in a while! In honor of Snow White, I pulled it out! I went for this simple layout using a "red" DSP I have on hand - this pretty flower pattern from the Bee Mine pack, that's actually Sweet Sorbet, shh. Then I laid my apple branch over it, and added a few diecut blossoms and leaves for that little bit extra. I really like all the spare black details for this one, too - makes the reds pop! Apple Harvest Stamp Set; Bee Mine DSP; Basic White, Basic Black & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Apple Blossoms & Nested Essentials Dies; Timber EF; Black Baker's Twine; Matte Black Dots; #SOS513. Cardz 4 Guyz #338 is back from their break, and they want to see something new from our stash! Yay! This seems like a great time to test the ink on our new Trusty Tools suite - it' fabulous! I started small with just one stamped image - the paintbrush, lol. But I did it in three different colors, and got to9 also play with the two and three stamps for it - I so love the detail we can add! The die was perfect - so fun that it cuts the tiny hole for hanging the handle, too, and I went with this subtle gray granite sheet from the perfect SAB DSP that goes with it all! I thought this looked more "painty," lol, but it was tough because the back is also gorgeous! I popped up part of my sentiment on this fun panel from the dies, on Smoky Slate so it would stand out a little from the Granite. Just so well-designed! Trusty Tools Stamp Set; Trusty Toolbox DSP; Basic White, Poppy Parade & Smoky Slate CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade, Lost Lagoon & Crushed Curry Inks; Trusty Tools Dies; Matte Black Dots; #C4G338. We have such a playful color combo for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #427! As I went for a browse of my stamps, Timeless Arrangements caught my eye - I think I haven't used it in a bit! This time, I wanted to play with some of the extra stems that come in the stamps, and also have dies - so sweet! I pulled a first run sheet of Berry Burst DSP for my background, and set to work. This sentiment is the one I use the most, so I layered it with some Mossy Meadow leaves, and colored up a few of the stems with Water Painters - love the soft look! I also floated this pretty arrangement over this awesome banner shape from Nested Essentials, and finished with a few Faceted Gems - love it! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set; Berry Burst DSP (retired); Basic White, Mossy Meadow & Pebbled Path CS; Pebbled Path, Mossy Meadow & Berry Burst Inks; Water Painters; Timeless Arrangements & Nested Essentials Dies; Faceted Gems Trio; #HSS427. I am LOVING the inspiration quote at this round's Time Out Challenge #250! It says it all! Since the quote talks about waves, I decided to pull in Waves of Inspiration - I have rarely used this gorgeous set - crazy! Even though it has some wonderful dies, I opted for using the beautiful wave image stamp - I colored it up in three different blues, and layered it over some Coastal Cabana. I also couldn't resist pulling in some of the Waves of the Ocean DSP that was released with the original pre-order of the set - love these paper sheets still! For my sentiment I pulled in this beauty from Something Fancy - I feel like that's what gratitude really is - everyday magic! Waves of Inspiration & Something Fancy Stamp Sets; Waves of the Ocean DSP; Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point (retired) & Night of Navy Inks; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Rhinestones Waves Basic Jewels; #TOC250. I have a nice collection of new goodies to try for this month's NBUS #55! Yay! I started with one of my pre-order sets for the next Online Exclusives release - available November 7! This adorable little beaver is part of the Fluffiest Friends set - a collection of chonky little critters bundled with wonderful dies! I broke my personal shopping rule with this one - since it has no sentiments (GASP!) I paired it with our playful Happy Labels set - a match made in Heaven! I don't feel too bad about the rule for these guys - it's CRITTERS, and I love them all! I've also slipped in some preview DSP, Bee Mine, part of the Bee My Valentine suite we get to pre-order for our On Stage event in November! You're going to love the honey-sweet patterns in this pack! Fluffiest Friends & Happy Labels Stamp Sets; Bee Mine DSP; Basic White & Sweet Sorbet CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Sweet Sorbet Inks; Crumb Cake, Pebbled Path & Sweet Sorbet Blends Markers; Fluffiest Friends, Tailor Made Tags & Stitched Be Mine (retired) Dies; Bordered Ribbon in Sweet Sorbet; White Resin Hearts; #NBUS55. Love this - Time Out Challenges #247 has a wonderful camping inspiration pic for us this round! I so love this pretty lakeside scene, and it triggered a memory for me of something I have with a rowboat - a quick search and out came 2021's By The Dock! I had to really dig to build this scene so that I could fit in all the elements I wanted, and I actually had to rethink it twice, lol - not something I do too often! Eventually I landed on this water scene, with the dock, of course, and our little boat tied up, and a bit of soggy shoreline, too. I think this is the one! By The Dock (retired 2021); Basic White, Early Espresso, Pool Party & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Old World Paper EF (retired); Dockside (retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; White Milky Dots; #TOC247.
